Campaign "Nose in!"
Campaign "Nose in!"
- For family safety and against "black sheep"
Of course, the bead filling used by Theraline is always carefully processed into pillow filling that is harmless to health.
Unfortunately, this is not always the case. In order to produce cheaply, poorly treated or untreated polystyrene is filled directly into pillows. Such pillows are easily recognisable by their smell. This ranges from a slight plastic smell to a ‘sticky smell’. This is a problem that various consumer protection organisations and ÖKO-Test magazine have repeatedly warned about.
We therefore ask all parents to participate in our ‘Nose in’ campaign and warn friends and siblings who are planning to buy a nursing pillow about the possible smell. Of course, shop owners, who are often unaware that the pillows they sell have problematic vapours, can also be made aware of this.
Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of the entire family. The absence of harmful substances in all filling and cover materials used and 100% product safety are always our top priority.
That is why Theraline nursing and pregnancy pillows with pearl filling have carried the TÜV Rheinland Toxproof® label since 1998. This certification for pollutant-free nursing pillows was developed in collaboration with Theraline.
ince the end of July 2021, the TÜV Rheinland test seal has been replaced by the Oeko-Tex 100 seal from the Hohenstein Institute. This well-known seal gives you the assurance that you are purchasing a product that is guaranteed to be harmless to your health. A transition period has been agreed with TÜV Rheinland, during which our pillowcases may still have a TÜV label, no label or already have the new Oeko-Tex 100 label.
In any case, you can rely on our experience: as the first nursing pillow supplier, we began treating our pillows against styrofoam vapours back in 1993 and have been continuously developing our expertise in this area ever since.
